Silage Packing Machine

After the successful installation of more than twenty Silage Packaging Units in Greece and abroad (Balkans, India), the company Intraweigh is considered the most specialized in the field for the difficult product of silage.
Ideal for packaging Silages of baling plants (Agrostodes and Psychanthes) such as Corn, Clover, Vetch, Sorghum, etc.

The purpose of the unit is:

A) for the product to retain its characteristics (proteins, sugars) unchanged after packaging for a long period of time, which is achieved thanks both to the way of compression but mainly to the unique heat sealing and air extraction system.

B) The final bag must be perfectly shaped and compact both for practical reasons (safe palletization) and for marketing reasons.

The unit weighs, compacts, shapes and bags all types of silage in 35-40kg bags with air extraction. The productivity of the unit is up to 120 bags per hour with only two operators and with upgrade possibilities.

Indicatively, the unit consists of the following parts:

  • Inclined Dosing Tape
    The inclined dosing tape is two (2) speed controlled flow (fast-slow) for greater accuracy.
  • Weighing Systems
     It consists of a suitable weighing conveyor belt with a special unloading system. The tape is based on load cells (weight sensors) of industrial type for heavy use, very high precision and resistance approved according to EEC and O.I.M.L., C3, 3000d (Organisation Internationale de Metrologie Legale).
  • Compression Systems
     Consists of the compression chamber, the necessary pistons (compression, output and exit door of the chamber), as well as the required hydraulic unit with the pump and piping.
  • Automatic Dosing Control Unit
     The programmable control unit is built according to the latest developments in digital technology providing a fast, stable and accurate reading in a harsh industrial environment.

Heat Sealing And Air Extraction System

Consists of:

  • Automatically controlled conveyor belt
  • Custom bag forming system
  • Special welding unit (8mm wide) and air extraction for particularly demanding dust conditions.

The finished bag is fully sealed, well formed and easy to palletize and transport.
